Hi, my name is Chandler Hickman and I'm the USCG licensed Captain here at Trash Panda Charters. I'm a lifelong fisherman, growing up around Texas and spending summers fishing the Ozarks in Missouri. I've had the privilege of fishing all over the country. From the cliffside reefs of Oahu, to the dark stained waters of the Everglades, nothing gets my heart racing like the shallow marshes and flats of the Texas coast. The only thing I find as exciting as a day out on the water, is one where I get to share my passion with others.

About Your Trip
At Trash Panda Charters, you'll be fishing on a Beavertail BTX skiff, designed for shallow water stealth and smooth rides on the flats. This boat is great for navigating skinny waters and sneaking up on redfish, sheepshead, and more. It's quiet, comfortable, stable, and my favorite way to fish.
When we go out, we will meet at a convenient launch point and head out to handpicked fishing spots based on the current weather conditions, season, and tides. Start and end times can vary depending on your preferences.

There's multiple ways to book a trip. You can either hit "book now" above, which will take you to bloodknot, the app we use for scheduling, or you can call, text, or email me directly to book something that might be outside the bounds of our typical trips.
Yes! A valid Texas fishing license is required for all anglers over age 17. We can guide you on how to get your fishing license online before your trip. Having a fishing license is a personal responsibility of each guest on board.
I limit my tours to 2 guests max per outing to allow for better instruction and a comfortable set-up. Group size is also dependent on guest size and boat space to prioritize safety, please contact me with questions about your group.
Absolutely! I love having kids on board. Due to the length of each trip, I recommend ages 8 and up, but please reach out if you have younger children so that we can discuss what's possible.
Yes! I provide all rods, reels, tackle, and bottled water. You are more than welcome to bring your own gear if you would like.
I recommend bringing weather appropriate clothing (long sleeves, layers, hats, polarized sunglasses), sunscreen, drinks/snacks (we provide water), camera/phone for photos, a small cooler for the car (if you plan to keep your catch).
Yes: depending on the species, size, and local regulations. I will guide you on what is legal to keep.
While a light rain won't stop us, safety comes first. If we need to cancel due to dangerous weather, we will work with you to reschedule or offer a refund.
I always do out best to get you on the fish! While I can't guarantee a catch every time (that's fishing!), I take pride in knowing the best local spots and use techniques to give you a great chance at success.
I ask for at least 7 days notice if you need to cancel. While weather-related cancellations are fully refundable, no-shows or late cancellations may lose the deposit.
